Kyle Alcorn was third behind Evan Jager and Donn Cabral in 8:22.17 in the 3000-meter steeplechase at the U.S. Olympic Trials and wil compete at the Games in London. Alcorn set his personal best of 8:20.86 this spring. Now 27, he was a 2008 NCAA steeplechase champion for Arizona State University and was the 2004 national junior champion. Originally from California, he now resides in Mesa, Arizona, and is coached by Louie Quintana. Alcorn's son Landon is five and a half months old.
