Yahoo! Sports Launches New Edition of ‘Elite Athlete Workouts’

The Web Series Works Out With Olympic Hopefuls

Yahoo! Sports, the number one online sports destination, has launched a new edition of its web series ‘Elite Athlete Workouts’ featuring Olympic hopefuls.  The series provides an exclusive look at the personal workouts and diets of top athletes as they train to qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games at www.sports.yahoo.com.

‘Elite Athlete Workouts’ gives viewers inside access to the training regimens, motivations, and personal stories of some of the most exciting Olympic athletes and rising stars to watch this summer, including Michael Phelps, Allyson Felix, and Aly Raisman.

The latest episodes feature former Lost Boy of Sudan and American track athlete Lopez Lomong. In the videos, Lopez tells his incredible story in his own words, describing how he was kidnapped at age 6 by rebel soldiers and how he escaped by running for three days to get to Kenya. He discusses what it means for him to run for the U.S. in the Olympics, and also shares details of his training, including how he eats non-stop, never counting meals, and why he likes pain.
