I think you could go WAY faster than 17:58 for a 5K by your Junior Year. You might even be able to go 16:58 or faster. Just keep training and don't give up.

“Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.”

Im a 15 year old male, and I run Cross Country and Track for my High School.  I've Been running for 3 years of which only Freshman Year and This Year (Sophmore) dedicatedly and seriously.  Basically I just realized what it takes and I want to do it and I have. However I got a stress fracture and its healing but im out of shape now since i missed a month and a half. Anyway I am always running when I'm not injured and I hope to be one of the top runners on varsity next year when i get on varsity.

I am currently suffering from a  stress fracture so am not running atm

My current Records:

3200m-11:40 (Freshman year)              | Goal- (10:55) [Sophmore Year Goal]

5k Cross Country- 20:00 (Freshman year) | Goal- (17:58) [Junior Year Goal]
