Red Line Running

Welcome to Red Line Running. A coaching service based in Plattsburgh, NY. We are offering proven methods to improving your running whether in school, training for your first marathon or chasing records. Red Line Running offers education and training to you in many forms. We offer a running camp to junior high and high school students in the summer as well as different coaching opportunities for open and recreational runners. This website it only a brief overview of what we can do. Please feel free to contact us for more information.

 

Red Line Cross Country Camp

 CAMP BROCHURE AVAILABLE

 This year we will be holding the 2nd annual RedLine Cross Country Camp at Peter S. Blumette Park in Plattsburgh, NY. The camp dates are July 11-15, 2011 and it will run from 9 am to Noon. The cost for camp is $120.00 which includes instruction, t shirt, stretch rope and end of week raffle.

Camp will focus on aerobic endurance, tempo running, form and running economy (running fast with as little energy as possible). We will hold off on high intensity training due to the summer training the student athletes will be involved in preparation for cross country season. However we will cover all 5 different intensities that are used in the Plattsburgh State program in our daily short lectures. The campers will receive handouts pertaining to our training system and philosophies. We recommend that anyone attending camp have 3-4 solid weeks of running at least 30 min 5-6 days per week before starting.

09:00- Opening Remarks
09:05- Active Isolated Stretching
09:20- Warm-up, drills, Injury Prevention work, technique
09:40- Daily Session Explanation
09:50- Daily Session
11:00– Snack/lecture
11:30- Strength Circuits/Flexibility
11:45- Closing Remarks
12:00-12:15– Pickup

Short Lectures

Aerobic Conditiong, Tempo, Interval, Rep, Supplemental Work. We will also cover psychology, nutrition and hydration.

Training Plans

Red Line Running Training Plans include 5k, 10k, half marathon and marathon personalized training schedules for all levels. Schedules are written by John Lynch- SUNY Plattsburgh Director of Track and Field/Cross Country.

These training plans are affordable and take into account your goals, lifestyle and training age. They also include weekly email correspondance about your training.

The cost of training plans depend on how long the plan will consist of. It is important to remember that in order to see results you must give yourself ample time to train, therefore we do not offer training plans less than 12 weeks, and we actually prefer you to take on a 18 or 24 week training plan.
