* While some may feel Anoush Shehadeh came the farthest the fastest I'd say it was #13 Briana Schwartz (less known).
* Several --healthy-- girls didn't have good Sr. years and weren't included (all signing with top programs).
* While fast-twitchers E.Jaskot, K.Shepard (already pr'd in 1000), M.Berkson, H.Parker(Jr) made their various all-state teams none could crack the top100. They are obviously more talented than many on the list as they will likely prove indoors. But for whatever reason they couldn't handle 5000 meters CC. All will sign with top programs and the four have had very similar seasons.
American Fork, CBA, Gig and maybe F-M are in the mix
Girls poll - http://www.runnerspa...howtopic=879293
Boys poll - http://www.runnerspa...howtopic=879292
Either the Northwest or New York look, at this point, like the strongest boys regions. Midwest is going to be pretty tough as well - I could definitely see both teams finishing in the top 10. The Southeast is going to be strong as well, though I don't know if their history suggests that two teams in the top 10 is exactly a strong possibility (but hey, Blacksburg did break through last year, so it can be done). Best chances of having two teams towards the top, though, are the NW and NY in some order.
Southwest girls being the top region is a strong possibility IMO. Those teams are just TOUGH.
As for who is going to win... I feel like that is worthy of a separate thread/poll.

Also, the CBA boys won NXN without one of their top three runners and two of their guys taking falls in the race. CBA has experience and they've shown they can run really, really fast evidenced by the number of venerable course records they've taken down hard this year.
So if the NW has better teams than that hats off to 'em.
Girls side, F-M looks like they to are peaking at the right time. I will bet against them, like, never.
If I was making odds for the boys race at NXN I'd still make CBA the favorite. Yes, FM had a faster average on the same course Saturday but CBA rested 1 runner and had at least 1 other fall during the race.

I hear you on the NY boys. FM is going to be very tough and Northport showed they are legit. I could see NY beating the NW, but I am sticking with experience and strengths of the NW squads.
