3 Hooton women did the Truffle Shuffle this past weekend. My daughter, granddaughter, and daughter-in-law. I've been invited to do the Couples Classic with them this Sat. It may be a little embarrassing getting beat by the 7 year old.

Decided to post our latest run on the wall as I believe this doesn't get posted on the main site.

Anyway, Jrun and I ran a Discovery Trail loop here in North Seattle. It's a great loop that's in town between the locks and the sound with great views of the Olympics, which were out in full force this morning. It ended being about 8 miles in beautiful, but chilly, sunshine.

Looking forward to next weekends run.

The best thing that can be said out the Sun run with Ginger and the old man was that the donuts were good. Too much fun was had by all the night before and it showed. But we did run!

Too much fun the night before is never a problem.
Too little recovery time from the morning before
(Jasper 15) is what had me totally wasted. p

Yeah that's my excuse too. I paced Nicole to a blistering 5k PR in the Couples Classic.

Did a couple repeats up Pilot Butte today for 4 days in a row and 29 miles total. I'm dedicated to getting my leg better and feeling better as I've been stretching like mad.

Haven't heard a thing Harold, I was wondering the same thing. Gene mentioned something about Baldy that I thought sounded good...

5 yotes on Baldy today. Tommy healed up from his "studying" and OGG and Ginger ran with Tommy from the Stark Nuthouse to meet myself and Harold at the top of Baldy. Harold and I parked down by the grange and ran back towards town for a bit and then up Black Canyon Road for a total of about 10. I think the other yotes ran 15 or so. Beautiful day and great views of the sisters and Diamond Peak

Talked about a trip up Bear Mountain someday...

Did a 10 mile wild adventure run in Ashland today. Started out as a 6er, changed into an 8er, and finished as a 10er...oh well, lots of fun though. Glad to have shot blocks and water bottle with me.

Just talked with Yoda and he had just registered for the Fall Creek 20 miler. Do to family commitments I think I'll turkey and run the first 5 or 6 out for a 10/12 day then head back to town. If anyone is interested in that (and saving the $25 registration fee!) they're welcome to ride with me.

Harold, I'd be in for a 10/12 on the Fall Creek Trail if you'd rather mudbog it...

Sounds good to me. Snow lines are down low. We could do the lower section, out and back. We could go in my truck if it winds up being the 2 of us rather than trashing out yor car. Meet @ my house...time?

One more thing about this morning at Fall Creek. Though we impressed no one with our running, those gray shirts get lots of compliments. Sometimes it's
just nice to look good, even if you can't run 'good'.

And another one more thing - in spite of our pedestrian pace, we both managed to take first in our age groups (and I do think there were others in our groups).
Yoda - did you figure out the name of our "rabbit"?

Today I find myself a bit sore and with that deep down
muscle fatigue that lets me know I really put some
stress on the system Saturday. And while I whined about
what the watch said, and JJ tried to salve that with the
age group thing, I'm looking at it from a different corner today. At this stage of the 'game' just being
out there for that distance at a steady clip is plenty of reward itself. I won't be able to do this indefinitely
... everytime is a bonus, and I'm very glad to still be
howling. p
