Hmmmmm, I find myself in the same physical state as the Yoda (and I'm only 54!!). I've felt whipped all day. We'll come back stronger for it (we'd better) and maybe, someday, catch ourselves a rabbit.........

Never getting old? Oh yes ... it's happening.
Harold is feeling that way today ..... laid low
with some kidney stone issues. Hope they pass
soon (ouch!) and he's back ready to roll. p

Had a very rough night Mon/Tues winding up in the ER @ Riverbend about 6:am. Finally passed a kidney stone from my kidney to my bladder. The most pain I'd ever experienced. To top it off I was told that I have 6 more split between both kidneys. Passed the stone this morning about 2:30. Back to work now and "looking forward" to going thru that 6 more times!

If the weather isn't too awful I'm taking my three little guys to the ocean Sat, so will settle for a
Weyerhsr 8 early, and hope to go long Sunday morning.
So don't wait for me if you guys want to put a long
one together for Sat. p

Well, if it is nasty, what would you choose? I guess, working the system, we're due for a tower run...

I've got two sisters and a brother-in-law in town to see my niece (Chelsea) play UO in Lacrosse (she's with Fresno). Chelsea played soccer at Fresno for two years and they never came up to UO, so I'm looking forward to it. The game is Friday night, 7:00pm at Pape Field - come on down! I will probably run with my sister Sat am and she doesn't do 8. I may not either unless I can get rid of this calf cramp that jammed me on last night's run (I'm pissed)

Solo--I was thinking we should plan something substantial because Yoda will get rained out of his coast trip. But the paper is predicting a break in the rain, and Ginger and Harold are out of the picture, so maybe we should just tag along for an easy 8.

Coyo--what's "early"?

In this case, early is only 7:30am. Pretty
relative stuff, huh ? BTW, a Sunday Nebo is
a slight blip on the radar. p

Attended the annual meeting of Friends of Buford Park and watched as our fellow Coyote, Tim, was elected to the board of directors...very cool. However, you know what that means...between he and Ronnel there could be some serious double teaming for Pisgah trail work volunteers! Be ready!!

It also means that while we're up on Pisgah howling at the full moon Tues night, Harold is at a Buford
Friends meeting wishing he was with us. Doesn't
seem right ......... p

Solo, did you do your headlamp run? Did yoda show you the clip for hooking it to your belt rather than the headstrap? Too pooped by the time I got home from work last night but keep me in mind for future runs @ night that fall on my days off.

Full moon factoids: March's full moon will be Tues the 10th rising @ 6:15pm. Like most full moons it has many names, this month it's Full Worm, Crow, Crust, and Sap Moon. The Lunar cycle (synodic month)is 29.53 days long. This creates a "Blue Moon" (2 in 1 calender month) every 2.72 years and we get one this year on New Years Eve!

I didn't do it because I don't don't want to do night trail running solo. I'll give more heads up in the future, it was a spur of the moment rush of energy...

Considering that the McKenzie Acres folks above my house have turned nasty and will no longer allow us lowlanders to run up their road, I spent all day yesterday with my clippers and have re-oponed two sections of trail above the power house (near the power lines) so that we can access the Seneca lumber property and the BLM lands. We will have to schedule a run up there soon so I can show you all how to find the trails. No need to climb over any fences anymore!
