Boston Holiday Invite

Submitted by BradMA on Dec 30 2008, 10:46 PM

So I have been sucking with updating the group but I am back and ready to go with the winter season.  Now as we all know the Reggie in Boston will be holding Nike Indoor Nationals (therefore, I get to watch), and so the Boston Holiday Invite is was supposed to be a pre-nationals event.  Unfortumately, the turnout was dreadful disappointing, but some great performances were still turned in and there were a few out of state schools there.  Anyway, we were there and so here are our results.

5K (first Indoor 5K in Prep History)

2. Brian Keiran- 16:39 (SCHOOL RECORD- duh)

3. Ben Halpin- 16:59

Open 1 Mile Run (NOT Millrose Qualifier)

6. Tim Murtagh- 4:49

10. Dan Mogielnicki- 4:57

55 M Hurdles

Prelims

7. Pat Driscoll- 8.49

Finals

7. Pat Driscoll- 8.51

4 X 200 Meter Relay

1. St. Johns Prep (Crosby, Kadich, Mostone, Pesatauro)- 1:35

Frosh/Soph DMR

2. St Johns Prep (Murphy, O'Connor, Touchette, Harrigan)- 11:35

High Jump

-- Alex Mostone- NH

Shot Put

6. Sean Enos- 42' 00.25"

7. Andrew Valeri- 41' 00.25"

4 X 800 Meter Relay

3. St Johns Prep (Hanlon, Gallo, Slattery, Masse)- 8:33

4 X 400 Meter Relay

2. St Johns Prep (Crosby, Touchette, Mostone, Kadich)- 3:32

1 Mile Run (Millrose Games Qualifying Race)

3. Mike Masse- 4:24

AND FOR ALL YOU FOLKS OUT IN OREGON...

8. Eamonn Kerr Daly- South Eugene HS- 4:40

So there you go, all our results, plus the kid from Oregon who made one hell of a trip for this meet (which we appreciate of course).  When I heard that I was like "Whoa".  But hey hopefully that means the word got out there and next year coaches will plan around the meet rather than plan around another meet they go to that weekend.  For full results, go here for day one results:

And here for day two:

Thanks and have a good one
