University of Maryland Told to Cut Eight Sports - Track/XC Included

A committee charged with finding a way to trim the University of Maryland's athletics budget has recommended dropping eight teams, the school announced.
The teams are men’s cross country, indoor and outdoor track, men’s swimming and diving, men’s tennis, women’s acrobatics and tumbling, women’s swimming and diving and women’s water polo.
