INTERVIEWS WITH JENNY SIMPSON AND ALISA HARVEY TO AIR ON THE RUNAROUND

Baltimore, MD – February 19, 2012 – The hosts of Running Maryland’s The Runaround will talk to 2011 1500-meter World Champion Jenny Simpson in an exclusive interview to be played on the air this Monday, February 20, at 5:00 p.m. EST on 1300 AM – Baltimore’s ESPN Radio.

In it, Simpson will discuss the highlights of her 2011 track season, winning the gold medal at the World Championships 1500m final in Daegu, South Korea, her recent victory at the Millrose Games 1500m, and training for the London Olympics, among other topics.

Additionally, show hosts Brad Jaeger and Greg Jubb will interview Alisa Harvey—the female masters world-record holder in the indoor 800m (Women 45-49 yrs) and the indoor mile (Women 35-39 and Women 40-44). Harvey was a bronze medalist at the 1988 U.S. Outdoor Championships and has represented the United States in four World Indoor Track Championships (’89, ’91, ’93, and ’99) and one World Outdoor Championships (1993).

Likewise, Brad and Greg will talk to Robbie Creese of Penn State University. Creese, a former Maryland state champion, recently broke a 4:00 mile, running 3:59.52 at the Husky Classic at the University of Washington.

Running Maryland’s The Runaround, the only radio show in the Mid-Atlantic area dedicated to the sport of running, will be broadcasted from 1300 AM – Baltimore’s ESPN Radio every Monday at 5:00 p.m. to talk about all the latest issues in the running community.
