A sunny day on Nebo between storms.......lotta snow from 2000 ft. up. Slick summit......a regular B Peal.......careful footing........hunters.....diesel fumes........the usual weird stares.......cold.......hard work with cold gear........extra miles to go around tree cut......energy bars, dreaming of hamburgers, dreaming of Duck victory, in front of the woodstove. The good fairy grants all my wishes. Home again..........Life is good. biggrin.gif

Hey, just for a change of pace, let's do an evening run. Anybody busy a week from Thursday? (!)

Ran the EWEB Run to Stay Warm Half Marathon today. Had fun. A good place for me to start. (1:52) I'm happy I crossed the line. I placed third in my age division.

Quote of the Day:
Kathy Roberts says to me after the race, "You should have run faster than that!" rolleyes.gif

Apparently we have a guest who is not feeling well.
I guess the 'full moon' reference might be a tip off
to insiders though. Enjoy those photos Solo.
Sorry about the misery buddy. blink.gif

New Book: 3 weeks to a Marathon by Jrun...
After 4 months of taking it easy, 30 miles a week average, occasional local race, I finally felt rested and interested in testing a ramp up.
Past three weeks included weekly Tempo of 6 - 7 - 8 miles and LONG Sunday's. 23-23-20 with yesterday's session pretty fast including 10 miles at MPace thrown in for good measure.
172 miles later, I declare myself fit for the Seattle Marathon, not sub 3 fit but pretty fit.
Now, can I sell some books to Americans looking to run a marathon in just '3 weeks'?

I got in my version of a two hour Stark Reality on Pisgah today,
plodding and smiling all the way. And if anyone might wonder
what I might say about the post just below this one ? .........
I'm just shaking my head ....... and smiling.
