from sun to snow
Published by
bit of an update from the Green Isle... I've been at the physio a lot in the last couple weeks so the running is careful and slower than it was, but still getting there. Yesterday was a glorious, sunny 48 degrees. Went out for a bit of a loosen up of the legs/back - perfect day to loose the tights and bring out the legs and a skirt. :) Yes, i've joined up with the current trend and have a running skirt. At least i feel like a don't look like a boy running (laughing). If yesterday was a lovely, warm, sunny day, this morning was anything but that. I met up this morning with winds at 25mph and the threat of rain. We started along beautiful country roads, dodging mud, silage, and cow pies. The goal for the day was to run for an hour - slowly, but with the knowledge that L was running in new shoes and we'd gage our continuation on her feet. Halfway down and it was snowing and the wind had got stronger. Fortunately for us, country roads are all lined with hedges. This makes it had to see the car coming around the corner (or tractors) but at least it gives some protection from the wind. We finished in 1.00.05. Coyote - no cuervo at the end, but then we were both driving home. :) be well. |
