This may not be very convincing, but I am around Sunday night and would love the chance to hit two full moon Pisgahs in a row (I'd rather it was a Duck Moon, but beaver works).

Unless someone wants to make a convincing case for Sunday,
we'll probably go official this month and head up Monday night.
Hope we get some takers for the Full Beaver Moon !

Any talk on the full moon trip - Sunday 1 or Monday 2 ?

Just one guys opinion here. But you know what I really like ?

I like that E took the time to post a personal note to us, but

to read. And I like that Harold put his personal response,
certainly more serious than the usual running banter we post

good work Harold! Hope for Q's sake the full moon wasn't out Saturday. Happy belated 59th, eh?

Well I didn't get the birthday elevation run that I'd hope for but had a great one anyway. The Q called early in the morning and said if I'd wait he'd come up for a run to kick off my 59th year. I didn't want to miss the Ducks and Dawgs so we opted for a run from Carmen to the dock @ Clear Lake and back doing both sides of the falls. A first for Richard and the weather and fall colors didn't dissapoint. Nobody else on the trails and the recent rain had been soaked up so the trail was in great shape. Back in time to take a quick shower, soak in the hot tub for a few minutes, and catch the kick off. BBQ @ halftime washed down by a couple of Dead Guys and the Ducks kicking butt in the second half made for a great low key BD. Off Mon-Thurs so I'll track the weather and head up river hoping to run into/up Mt Scott or Black Crater which ever one makes sence @ the time. Thinking of buying a new small light weight camera for these runs. My old one is too big and bulky for running and it would be nice to start having some pictures to share. Any suggestions on the latest and greatest for hauling around on runs?

You did what you set out to do. One day we'll all be at the nursing home looking back. Will ultra running be worth a whole lot then? I'm afraid it will all be nothing but sweet memories of woof woods. But you'll still be Eilis, the girl who dared to run 32.9 miles......and did.
