The men's weight throw continues to improve this year. This weekend alone, six men broke 21.50 meters and thirteen have bettered the barrier so far this year. Micah Hegerle (Minnesota), Matt DeChant (Ohio State), and Brandon Pounds (Indiana State) all improved their season's bests by more than a meter this weekend. Kevin Mays (Central Michigan) backed up his big mark from last weekend, while Max Mays (Ohio State) also threw a smaller best. Ryan Louchney (Ashland) continued his D2 dominance in Ohio. Taylor Smith (Wisconsin) threw her second personal best in two weeks to produce the top women's mark of the weekend.
