DON'T MISS "TUESDAYS IN TRACK TOWN" -- 7:00 P.M. - TUESDAY APRIL 7 -- BOWERMAN BUILDING

With the town still abuzz over the record-setting performances by Cyrus Hostetler and Amber Purvis from Saturday's Pepsi Team Invitational, tomorrow's "Tuesday's in Track Town" town hall meeting will feature none other than Hostetler and Purvis. Tomorrow's meeting will take place from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will be held in the Bowerman Building.

If you haven't already seen it, Runnerspace.com has a great video of the world-leading, Pac-10 record, school record and meet record throw of 272-10. Be sure to watch to the end; Hostetler's reaction when the mark finally starts to sink in is priceless. A true moment of joy.

You can also catch Amber Purvis in Runnerspace's Pepsi meet highlight package. Purvis broke a pair of 20-year-old school records on Saturday, going 11.41 in the 100 meters and 23.09 in the 200, smashing Rosie Williams' marks that had stood since 1989. Those attending tomorrow's "Tuesday's in Track Town" meeting will also be among the first anywhere to get the official 2009 Prefontaine Classic meet poster, featuring, who else, Steve Prefontaine.

Purvis and Hostetler will be joined on the "Tuesday's in Track Town" slate by Associate Head Coach Dan Steele and All-Americans Brianne Theisen and Chad Barlow.   OTC Elite athletes featured tomorrow will be Olympian Billy Nelson, Tom Brooks and Stephen Pifer.

Also, Rob Vermillion, executive director of Oregon Track Club Elite, will be presenting the new website for Track Town USA and explaining ticket options for the 2009 U.S. Outdoor National Championship meet to be held at Hayward Field June 25-28th.
