Three Dragons qualified for the NIAA State XC Championship next Saturday at Veterans Memorial Park.  Colin Smith placed 2nd (16:37), Casey Walter placed 5th (17:12) and Nick Priego placed 10th (17:23).  All 3 earned All Sunrise Region honors. Somo Ishihara placed 34th (18:21), Obed Mireku placed 60th (19:34), Johnny Hilario placed 63rd (19:57) and Aaron Moss placed 68th (20:10). The boys team placed 4th, just 2 points away from 3rd and a State qualifying birth.  The team ran a great race and fell just a bit short.

The girls team placed 9th out of 13 teams and were led by the 40th place finish by Terry Marcos (23:33).  Karol Ramirez placed 49th (24:17), Aliocia Villa placed 63rd (25;09), Jasmine Hawkins placed 65th (25:24), Lauren Mossman placed 70th (25:41), Erin Cranor placed 78th (26:18) and Caroline Hart placed 79th (26:23).
