My Name is John most people know me as "Thor" (Mayor Piercy, and a bunch of friends.)
I would like to give my heart felt thanks to the greeters, officials, staff, head of meet, "Jill" and all other staff. Why because I'm (HC), and don't go out much, well except for running. 2 years ago I was injured. I went from running with the track team at Lane @ 42 to not being able to walk. My spine shifted and began robing my body of mobility. Docsss lost. Long story short I forced my body to walk and then run. I have always been a sprinter. Your "All Comers Meet' gave me an oppurtunity to do what I do well. I normaly go somewhere with someone, because my illness can be scary (An episode looks like grand mal siezuress, but not). To some it up I felt safe and had fun. I don't get this feeling much, and can't tell you what it felt like to be like everybody else, with everybody. I was inspired and I think I inspired others. I take it all in stride, opps, pun. I fell on that, O nooo I'm stopping. O yeah I won my division 100m & 200m
p.s. to Jill I had to keep moving because I can't stand still or walk for long forget sitting, so I got to the meet @ 4:45. 1st race was at 6:50. I ran to bus stop, ran to Hayward then... I could only hit 3rd gear. I'm a lot faster even injured. I may just have to join this club! Ran home with blues and a rose. & a :)
