All-America distance runner Karis Jochen considered colleges almost from sea to shining sea, then opted not to cross the Brazos River, accepting a scholarship offer from Texas A&M. Jochen, the two-time Class 5A state cross country champion from A&M Consolidated, committed Friday to sign with the Aggies. She chose A&M over Georgetown, Stanford and Rice.
