Kyra Johnson claimed one of 12 spots out of the West Preliminary Round in the 400-meter hurdles on Friday for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon, June 10-13. Her qualifying time of 58.36 seconds was just shy of her personal record of 58.22 set in her Mountain West Championship win on May 16.
