Will Kirk is a "shuffler" with not much heel recovery or thigh lift when he runs. You can watch video of him doing strides here.


This drill is designed to help teach better heel recovery, thigh lift, and foot landing mechanics. Will is "hopping" a little in this drill and landing toe first instead of landing more flat foot with a backward motion. But his heel recovery and thigh lift is significantly better than his normal stride.
