The Citadel track and field teams will send athletes to the Carolina Cup for a Thursday night meet at the Irwin Belk Track in Rock Hill, S.C., and a separate group to the Tennessee Relays at the Tom Black Track at LaPorte Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn.

The Citadel track and field team completed a successful weeknight meet on Thursday at the Carolina Cup held at the Irwin Belk Track in Rock Hill, S.C.

The women's relay teams broke two Citadel records and tied a third in the sprint medley relay, distance medley relay and 4x100 this weekend at the Pepsi Florida Relays in Gainesville, Fla.

Clay Allen was named Southern Conference outdoor field performer of the month after breaking The Citadel javelin record with a throw of 218'6" at the Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

On the final day Florida wins men's 4x4 in 2:59.73, #2 a-t college time, aided by racing two top teams that they barely beat in 2:59.76 as Gino Hall had to run 43.7 to beat former world 400 Hurdle champion Keron Clement.

After completing a successful midweek trip to Savannah State for the Tiger Twilight Meet, The Citadel track and field teams will send a group to the Pepsi Florida Relays at the Percy Beard Track at James G. Pressly Stadium in Gainesville, Fla.
