Sophomore Nikki Okwelogu brought her historic 2015 indoor track and field season to a brilliant conclusion Saturday afternoon, earning first team All-America honors with a sixth-place finish in the shot put.

Harvard track and field heads outdoors for the first time in 2015, opening the schedule at the Texas Southern Relays in Houston, Texas. The Crimson has opened its spring schedule in the Lone Star State each year since 1988.

Sophomore thrower Nikki Okwelogu heads to Fayetteville, Arkansas this weekend to compete in the shot put at the 2015 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by the University of Arkansas at the Randall Tyson Track Center.

In the High Jump Scantling had a pr clearance at 2.13 - 6-11 3/4 and Bilal Abdullah and Mike Morgan cleared the same bar. Abdullah made up for a 36-0 1/4 Shot Put and moved up the list. Wieland cleared 6-9 1/2, 3rd pr in four events. He leads with a pr of 3472, Morgan 3372, and Scantling 3368 points (24 behind pr at SEC indoor)

German native Wieland is from just outside of Frankfurt. He was second in the Junior competition in 2012 with a best of 7072

prs for Scantling (15.39m) 50-6 and Wieland (14.56m) 47-9 1/4 in the Shot Put kept Wieland in the lead and moved up Scantling.

Luca Wieland has had the biggest improvement over the other top seeds and he is the early favorite after his 7.01 60m and 7.61m Long Jump

With Scantling falling back and Uibo and Nilsson both out during and (3rd seed) Kregers before the competition this is now anyone's competition with the 3rd (Mike Morgan (5797) through 9th seed (subtract 8th seed Nilsson) all within 91 points of each other.

#1 Seed Garret Scantling came in as the favorite but has had a rough competition so far. Bilal Abdulah of Kennesaw State has done well so far with a just off pr of 6.90 in the 60 meters but a big long jump pr of 7.65m, 25-1 1/4. As a result, Abdullah leads with 1890 points after winning the first two competitions.
