BROOKLYN, N.Y. - A total of 159 student-athletes were recognized at the Steinberg Wellness Center in celebration of National Student-Athlete Day on Tuesday. In order to be in consideration for the award, student-athletes must display excellence in both athletics and academics, while also making significant contributions to their schools and communities. All of the student-athletes that received recognition at LIU Brooklyn maintained a 3.0 grade-point average or above during the Fall 2014 semester, and 13 student-athletes earned 4.0 GPA's. The honorees are listed below:
