The St. John's women's cross country team got its 2014 campaign underway on Saturday morning, hosting a number of local teams for the SJU-Hofstra Fall XC Festival on the University's pristine Oakdale, N.Y., campus and enjoying a handful of standout performances. Racing the 5K distance and competing in a field of 84 runners, the Red Storm placed all eight of its racers in the top 44 places.
