Two weeks removed from a positive season-opener at the SJU-Hofstra Fall XC Festival, the St. John's cross country team prepares to make its first appearance of the 2014 campaign at its home-away-from-home, famed Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, N.Y., for Saturday's 20th Annual Br. John "Paddy" Doyle/Iona College Meet of Champions. Saturday's Women's Championship 6K race, set to go off at 9:30 a.m., will mark the first of four outings this season for the Red Storm at Van Cortlandt Park, "The Mecca of American Cross Country."
