For the second consecutive year, Stetson University junior Joe Beery has been named the Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Cross Country Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the league announced on Wednesday.

The Stetson women's cross country team earned its best Atlantic Sun Championship finish in 23 years, placing fifth overall with 153 points Friday morning at the UNF Golf Course in Jacksonville.

The Hatters will be looking to top their sixth place finish at last year's A-Sun Championship. The women will run at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Hayt Golf Learning Center.
