Kathryn Flyte finished 5th in the NCAA Division III West Regional Saturday, running the course in 22:20.84. She has a shot at making the NCAA Championship race held Nov. 23. As a team, the women took 10th while the men finished 7th.

The Puget Sound men's cross country team moved up to No. 4 in the West region after a second-place showing at the NWC championship while the women's squad held steady at No. 9 after taking 5th in the conference meet.

The men's cross country team finished second after David Santillan and Justin Bigelow tallied top-ten finishes. Kathryn Flyte finished third for the women, while Sierra Grunwald tallied a top-15 finish as well, placing 12th.

The Puget Sound men's cross country team was voted No. 6 in the West Region in the latest USTFCCCA regional poll while the women's squad was voted No. 9. Both teams took 5th place in the Lewis & Clark Invitational over the weekend.
