Wildcats pick up 15 victories at Twilight meet

OGDEN, Utah - For a few select athletes, they were given one last chance on Tuesday evening to wear the Weber State school colors and compete on their home track. Not only did the Twilight meet give athletes one more shot to qualify for conference, it gave family and friends a chance to support their athletes one more time. lt;br />19 student-athletes were honored and presented with a certificate throughout the meet. lt;br />"It was really fun to honor the seniors, that was a fun part of the evening," Director of track and field Dan Walker said. "We got better in almost every event that we hosted, you can't ask for much more than that. We had a lot of seasonal and personal bests all over the board. I was very pleased with how it went." lt;br />The meet was cut short on Wednesday due to weather delays but the Wildcats were still able to take care of business on Tuesday. They picked up 15 victories and four more Big Sky qualifying marks. That brings their total up to 39 a week before the conference meet. lt;br />On the women's side, Natasha Powell continued to improve as she won the shot put in a personal-best mark of 47-04.50. With that mark, Powell now has the fifth-best throw in school history. Elisa Isakson broke her own school record in the pole vault with her mark of 12-02.00. That mark also qualifies her to compete next week. lt;br />Emily Morgan took care of business winning the 100-meters in a time of 10.77. Alex Van Halder ran away from the field in the 200-meter dash in a time of 24.94. That is two consecutive weeks that she has run under 25 seconds. Tawnie Moore won the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 15.17. Amanda Alston took second in the 400-meters in a seasonal-best time of 57.07. lt;br />Taylor Cox won the 800-meters edging out teammate Ashley Kealamakia as she ran 2:14.15. Paige Dilmore led from start to finish in the women's 1,500 meter in a time of 4:43.79. lt;br />On the men's side, Zach Schweinsberg,
