DistancePreps.com Florida XC Program Rankings - Girls XC

So we thought it would be fun to take a look back over the last 10 years (2003-2012) of Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) State Cross Country Finals and see which teams consistently produce on the State's ultimate stage.  To do this accurately and with some semblance of realism, we needed to enlist the help of a real die-hard XC fanatic and we found just the person; Robert Monroe from Dystat who ranks teams across the nation for NXN. (Thanks Robert !)

The method:
1. Merge all results from the state meet (all classes)
2. Remove all individual athletes
3. Order athletes by time, breaking ties by place and (if necessary)
classification (less general competition = better finish)
4. Score the massive merge
5. Re-score using only the top 30 teams
6. Re-score using only the top 22 teams from those 30
7. Sum points for all years (2003-2012), plus add 410 points (average
22nd place score) for each time a school didn't finish in the top 22,
then divide by 10 (# of years included)

Today we've released the Girls Top 10 Programs.  Next up will be the Boys Top 10 Programs and finally the Top 15 combined programs, both girls and boys teams. Enjoy.

I wonder how much different this list would be if we only went the last 5 years.
