This is the second in a series of Sun all-area athlete of the year teams compiled with help from area coaches.

Sun Cross All-Area Cross Country Teams

Boys

First team

Chris Godwin, Buchholz, senior: Posted a personal-record and area-best time of 15:10 to place 11th at the Foot Locker Cross Country Championships South Regional. The Class 4A state runner-up became just the area's second boys runner to participate in the Foot Locker Nationals.

Ryan Hundersmarck, Buchholz, senior: Posted a personal-record time of 16:13.47 to place 50th at the Pre-State Invitational.

Garrett Westlake, P.K. Yonge, junior: Placed seventh with a personal-record time of 15:39.93 at the boys race of champions at the flrunners.com Invitational.
