FIVE PREP TRACK & FIELD STATE TITLES

With four consecutive Class 1A state titles in girls cross country, Kayla Hale’s name likely will never disappear from the Florida High School Athletics Association record book.

The same is likely true for her five Class 1A track and field titles in the 3,200 meters during her prep years at Holy Trinty Episcopal Academy.  Hale, a 2009 graduate of Holy Trinity, won her titles in 2005–2008.

“Kayla is special – she was as coachable as anyone could get,’’ Holy Trinity girls cross country coach Doug Butler said.
