School board bans high jump - Sarnia ObserverPublished by
School board bans high jumpElementary students at the Lambton Kent District School Board won't be reaching new heights in a popular track and field event. The board has banned high jump from elementary gym classes and track and field meets. Ontario's coroner is expected to investigate the death. “We also had some concerns expressed by our elementary principals and so thought we'd take a quick precautionary measure and stop high jump until we get a chance to look at the (Ontario Physical and Health Association) guidelines,” Costello said.
