Guelph’s golden girls record breakers in 200mWINDSOR – It was a gold-medal showdown of sorts.
The two Guelph runners who won gold in their individual events a day earlier at the OFSAA West regional high school track and field championships went step for step down the final half of the senior girls’ 200 metres Saturday. In the end, Marissa Kurtimah of Guelph CVI edged Alison Fraser of Ross at the line and both were under the previous meet record time. “I can’t believe it,” Kurtimah said. “I was kind of shocked.
