While the rest of this city’s track-and-field elite prepare for Thursday’s start of the all-Ontario championships, Mitch Mazzuca is left to wonder: What if?

Conspicuous by his absence at both the city and NOSSA track and field championships, Mazzuca, this city’s most-celebrated performer at the last two provincial meets, has a hard time even thinking about what will take place later this week.

The best tracksters in the province will be in Brockville, Ont., for the three-day, Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) meet, which concludes Saturday.
