Wilson, Cattell meet OFSAA challenge together

OTTAWA — Longtime friends Honour Cattell and Mariah Wilson both represented Cobourg District Collegiate Institute East for the second straight year at the provincial high school cross country championships on Saturday.

Wilson placed 75th and Cattell 129th in the junior girls at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations meet, which was held in Ottawa.

"Last year I was really disappointed with my result," Wilson said after finishing the 3.970-kilmetre course. "This year I wanted the opportunity to redeem myself and before the race I was a lot more excited than nervous. It's really intimidating when you're in the race because there's girls everywhere."
