Courtice native earns scholarship to Simon Fraser University

COURTICE -- Running is often a battle of will and determination, and Courtice native BJ Cunliffe continues to demonstrate those elements as he defies the odds and dominates as a track athlete despite battling asthma.
Before he steps to the line and crouches into his runner's stance, recurring thoughts of success and never giving up propel him to greater heights.
Although his asthma gives him trouble, he continues to push through it to achieve his dreams, which include a recent track scholarship to British Columbia's Simon Fraser University.
