LSSAA stars shine at OFSAA regional track meet

By DAVE PAUL, The Observer

Updated 4 hours ago

Lambton County athletes once again punched above their weight at this weekend's OFSAA West Regional championships at London's TD Waterhouse Stadium.

Though there were no record-setting performances — thanks, at least in part, to the poor weather conditions at the two-day event — LSSAA athletes were frequent visitors to the winners' circle.

The stars led the way, with Northern's Drelan Bramwell and Tyler Annett finishing 1-2 in the senior boys 100m and 200m races and teaming up for a first-place finish in the 4x100m.

St. Clair's Brittany Lewis collected two gold and one silver in senior girls competition while Northern's Katie Fleischer had two wins.

The top four finishers in each event advance to the OFSAA championships June 2-4 at Laurentian University in Sudbury.
