The issue is that Dorsey submitted a change in their roster and that change, while submitted on time, did not get into the entries database. The Clerk of the Course did not let the new runner run because they weren't on the roster. Dorsey protested and it was discovered that they did submit the change but the deadline, but it didn't get in the database. By the time all of this was sorted out, the prelims had been run and the 9 finalists were determined.

Can someone explain the Dorsey DQ, protest and ruling. It seems very strange to me that a runner would be ruled ineligible if he was in fact eligible. In addition were they not allowed to run friday and hence why they had to take an extra lane in the final instead of bumping the last qualifier out? It seemed like sticking them waterfall-ed was bound to cause problems (as it did)
