[Men's Cross Country] 2014 MCC Men's Cross Country Preseason Poll Announced

The league's top two squads are set to again battle in a tight race as the 2014 Midwest Collegiate Conference men's cross country coaches' poll was released today.

St. Ambrose, with 33 points (four first-place votes), and defending champion Mount Mercy, with 31 points (one first-place vote), are atop the standings.  The programs have won the last eight league titles with SAU grabbing five and MMU having three.

William Penn might serve as one of the darkhorses in the MCC race with 20 points and the final first-place vote, while Grand View (19) and Viterbo (17) are right there as well.  Clarke finishes off the poll with six points.

Several squads open up the year on August 29 at several different events.
