For the second-straight season, St. Ambrose is a unanimous pick to take home the league hardware as the 2014 Midwest Collegiate Conference women's cross country coaches' poll was released today.

St. Ambrose was crowned for the 12th time last season (second in a row) and is the popular choice to headline the field again with 36 points and all six first-place votes.

Mount Mercy is not too far back in SAU's rearview mirror, though, tallying 29 points, while Grand View and Viterbo look to be in a tight battle for third with 21 and 18 points, respectively.

Clarke (14) and William Penn (8) round out the poll.

Several squads open up the year on August 29 at an assortment of events.
