The Jimmie women's and men's track teams had successful opening days in the 2011 NAIA national track meet, despite the rain and drizzle which plagued them the entire day.

Senior Sarah Skipper is in 7th-place in the heptathlon after the opening round. Josh Ewalt is in 6th-place in the decathlon and Katie Conlon advanced to the finals in the 3000 M steeplechase.
