CatamounTV VideoBURLINGTON, Vt. Junior Dan Moroney of the men's cross country team has been named the TD Bank Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending September 14. A week removed from an individual title at the America East Pre-Conference Meet in Orono, Maine, Moroney continued his hot start to the season at the Minuteman Invitational. The junior captain won the men's 6k race with a time of 18:53.40 to lead Vermont to the team title as well. The Cats finished with 37 points and and had all five scoring runners place in the top-15. Patrick Coppinger (19:17.60) and Dylan Souder (19:19.10) came across the finish line back-to-back in sixth and seventh to join Moroney in the top-10. Vermont has next weekend off before hosting a home meet against UMass Lowell on Saturday, Sept. 27 at Red Rocks Park in South Burlington. The event is schedule to begin at 11:30 a.m.
