The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team captured its third National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Outdoor Championship Saturday afternoon at St. Lawrence's University (N.Y.) Merrick-Pinkard Track & Field Complex. The Eagles secured their first outdoor NCAA III title since 1984 with 73.0 points with UW-Eau Claire second with 43.0 and Washington University (Mo.) third with 39.0. UW-L also claimed the NCAA III outdoor crown in 1983 and captured the Association of Intercollegiate Athletic for Women (AIAW) in 1982.
