Congratulations to Danielle Bess and the Calvary Christian Boys 4x800m Relay team for being voted as last week’s co- Performance of the Week winners. Last week at regionals we saw some very fast times go down. With state in a little less than a week the bar has been set, and the upcoming weekend looks to be one of the more memorable ones in Florida’s history.  Help us determine the DyeStatFL performance of the week by choosing up to three of the nominees below.

Lenysee Dyer American, FL: Competing in the 4A Region 4, Lenysee ran a US #7 mark in winning the 400m with a time of 54.24. She also ran a US #15 in the 200m where she placed 3rd with a time of 24.13.

 

Sinclaire Johnson Lake Brantley, FL: Running at the 4A Region 1 Championships, Sinclaire solidified herself as one of the best distance runners in the state. In the 1600m Sinclaire placed 2nd with a time of 5:02, she then came back to win the 800m in a US #10/FL #1 time of 2:10.07.

 

Ashley Miller East Ridge, FL: Ashley captured 2 individual wins at the 4A Region 1 Championships. In the girls 100m Hurdles, she won with a US #6 mark of 13.76. In the 300m Hurdles she won with a US #16 mark of  42.50.

 

Frances Rice Bolles, FL: Frances was a big part of scoring for the Bolles Girl’s regional championship team. Competing in four events, Francis won 2 and scored in the other 2. Frances won the Pole Vault with a mark of 12’3” and the high jump with a 5’2”. She then placed 7th in the girls long jump with a best mark of 16’09” and 5th in the girls triple jump with a mark 34’05.5”

 

John A. Ferguson Girls 4x800m Relay, FL: Competing in the 4A region 4 the ladies from Ferguson ran a 14 second season best to win the 4x800m with a US #33 and FL #5 time of 9:24.54.

 

Chauncey Gardner Cocoa, FL: Competing in the 2A region 4 championships, Chauncey became the fastest sprinter in Florida with his wins in the 100m and 200m. In the 100m Chauncey won with a US # 4 and FL #1 time of 10.51. In the 200m he won with a US #3 and FL #1 time of 21.02.

 

Dr. Phillips Boys 4x800m Relay, FL: The boys from Dr. Phillips won a very competitive 4x800m in the 4A Region 1 championships. Winning with a US #12 time of 7:49.72, they help drag 4 other teams to US top 50 marks.

 

Raymond Nellom Seminole, FL: Competing in the 4A Region 1 Championships, Rayomond set a US #14 and FL #1 mark of 6’10” to win the boys high jump.

 

South Fort Myers Boys 4x100m Relay, FL: Competing in the 3A Region 3 Championships, the boys from South Fort Myers became the first boys team in Florida to break 41 seconds for the 4x100m relay. Their winning time of 40.99 is a US #9.


Avery Bartlett Chiles, FL: The defending 3A 800m state champion won the 1600m and 800m at the 3A Region 1 Championships. In the 1600m Avery ran a US #47 time of 4:14.98. He then came back to win the 800m in a time of 1:57.60.

 

Kimani Rushing Hallandale, FL:  Kimani scored 40 points for the Chargers winning 4 events at the 2A Region 4 meet at the Ansin Sports Complex in Miramar (HJ, TJ, 100m Hurdles and 300m Hurdles.  Her 100m Hurdle win in 13.63 (+.8) is currently FL#1.
