June 15, 2017 – Chapel Hill, NC – The National Scholastic Athletics Foundation (NSAF), a non-profit organization with the mission to inspire youth to live active, healthy lifestyles and to prepare them for future success, has launched a game- changing app to enhance the race day experience at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor, taking place June 16-18. The first of its kind application, Race Day: Powered by NSAF, brings every detail of the meet into one beautifully designed, easy-to-navigate app for iOS and Android, enhancing the race day experience for athletes, coaches and spectators. “We can’t wait to get this app into the hands of high school competitors, coaches and their fans at Nationals this month,” said James Spier, Executive Director of the NSAF. “Our number one audience is high school athletes, and we know they rely primarily on their phones for information, entertainment and communication. We’re meeting them where they are and giving them the information they need for the best possible experience at the meet.” Primary features of the app include:
The app, which was developed in conjunction with Athletic.net and Flash Results, will debut this month at the New Balance Nationals hosted by North Carolina A&T. The meet is the most prestigious post-season track and field championships for high school athletes, showcasing almost 3,000 of America’s elite and emerging high school talent annually. “We are constantly striving to create the best possible meet experiences, and this app should go a long way in giving the competitors and their families, friends and spectators the tools and information they need for just that,” continued Spier. Race Day (https://raceday-nationalscholastic.org) is available now to download for free from the App Store and Google Play. About the National Scholastic Athletics Foundation More news |
