Grand Blanc graduate Geena Gall recently ran a personal 800 meters best and begins her quest for a second World Championships of Track and Field team berth this week.
Gall, a two-time NCAA Champion at the University of Michigan, now runs for the Oregon Track Club and dipped under two minutes in the 800 for the first time June 4 at the Prefontaine Classic In Eugene, Ore.
She was the top American and placed sixth overall in 1:59.76. Perhaps most importantly, the time bettered the “A” standard for the World Championships Aug. 27-Sept. 4 in Daegu, South Korea.
