NCAA Rankings 5/9

1. (1) Erik Kynard (Kansas State, So.)  Erik jumped 2.20m (7-2.5) last weekend to win a home meet.  The week before he jumped an NCAA leading jump of 2.31m (7-7) to place 2nd at the Drake Relays losing to Dusty Jonas on misses.  He will be the favorite to win the Big 12 champs this weekend.  Outdoor Meets (2.28m, 1st, 2.28m, 1st, 2.31m, 2nd, 2.20m, 1st)  Indoor Meets (2.27m, 1st, 2.23m, 1st, 2.29m, 1st, 2.33m, 1st, 2.24m, 1st Big 12 Champs, 2.20m, 3rd NCAA Champs)

2. 3.  (2) Edgar Rivera-Morales (Arizona, So.) Edgar jumped 2.21m (7-3) a few weekend ago to place 2nd against teammate Nick Ross.  He will be the favorite this weekend to win the PAC-10 title but teammate Nick Ross will be right on his heals.  Outdoor Meets (2.23m, 1st, 2.20m, 3rd, 2.28m, 4th, 2.21m, 2nd)  Indoor Meets (2.20m, 2nd, 2.21m, 1st, 2.20m, 6th NCAA Champs)

4. (13) Maalik Reynolds (Penn, Fr.) 5. (4) Dwight Barbiasz (Maryland, Jr.) Dwight jumped 2 weeks ago at the Penn Relays placing 2nd with a 2.19m (7-2.25) jump.  He also won the ACC Champs the weekend before that with 2.12m (6-11.5) and was satisfied and stopped jumping.  Outdoor Meets (2.23m, 1st, 2.23m, 1st, 2.12m, 1st ACC's, 2.19m, 2nd Penn Relays) Indoor Meets (2.19, 1st, 2.22m, 1st, 2.19m, 1st ACC Champs, 2.20m, 4th NCAA Champs)

6. (5) Nick Ross (Arizona, So.)  Nick has jumped 2.20m (7-2.5) or higher in four outdoor meets this year.  A few weeks ago he won a double duel meet over teammate Morales with 2.21m (7-3).  He will be looking to win his first PAC-10 champs title this weekend.  Outdoor Meets (2.20m, 2nd, 2.20m, 4th, 2.20m, 7th, 2.21m, 1st)  Indoor Meets (2.25m, 1st, 2.18m, 3rd place, 2.16m, 2nd, 2.19m, 2nd MPSF Champs, 2.20m, 8th NCAA Champs)

7. (6) James Harris (Mississippi State, Fr.) 8. (7) Major Clay (Indiana State, Sr.) Major jumped 2.19m (7-2.25) to place 2nd in the college section of the Drake Relays.  The week before he improved his outdoor PB with a 2.22m (7-3.25) jump.  Outdoor Meets (2.16m, 1st, 2.21m, 1st, 2.22m, 1st, 2.19m, 2nd)   Indoor Meets (2.15m, 1st, 2.21m, 2nd, 2.18m, 1st, 2.25m, 1st, 2.21m, 1st, 2.15m, 11th NCAA Champs)

9. (14) David Smith (Auburn, Fr.)  David jumped 2.22m (7-3.25) to win the college section of the Drake Relays.  This marks the highest jump fo Davids college career.  He will look to jump higher this weekend at the SEC Champs.  Outdoor Meets (2.18m, 3rd, 2.18m, 2nd, 2.05m, 1st, 2.05m, 3rd, 2.22m, 1st)  Indoor Meets (2.13m, 1st, 2.15m, 1st, 2.16m, 2nd)

10. (10) Geoffery Davis (Purdue, So.) 11. (9) Clint Silcock (Utah State, Sr.) Clint jumped a season best jump of 2.19m (7-2.25) to win the BYU twilight meet.  Outdoor Meets (2.11m, 1st, 2.14m, 1st, 2.15m, 3rd, 2.08m, 1st, 2.15m, 2nd, 2.08m, 1st, 2.19m, 1st)  Indoor Meets (2.15m, 1st, 2.10m, 1st, 2.14m, 1st, 2.24m, 1st, 2.19m, 1st, 2.19m, 1st WAC Champs, 2.15m, 11th NCAA Champs)

12. (15) Donte Nall (UNC, Sr.)  Donte jumped a personal best jump 2.23m (7-3.75) last weekend to win a meet at home.  Outdoor Meets (2.15m, 1st, 2.04m, 3rd, 2.21m, 1st, 2.02m, 7th ACC's, 2.23m, 1st)

13. (8) Jamal Wilson (Texas, Sr.) Jamal Wilson jumped 2.15m (7-0.5) for the 4x in a row.  He will surely be ready to jump higher at the Big 12 Champs this weekened.  Outdoor Meets (2.15m, 5th, 2.15m, 1st, 2.15m, 11th, 2.15m, 1st)  Indoor Meets (2.10m, 2nd, 2.15m, 4th, 2.21m, 1st, 2.24m, 1st, 2.16m, 3rd Big 12 Champs, 2.20m, 9th NCAA Champs)

14. (11) Keith Benford (UTSA, So.) Keith has a season best of 2.18m (7-1.75).  In his last competition he jumped 2.15m (7-0.5) and came very close to a PB jump of 2.20m (7-2.5) lat the Mt SAC Relays.  Outdoor Meets (2.18m, 1st, 2.10m, 1st, 2.15m, 10th)  Indoor Meets (2.09m, 1st, 2.18m, 1st, 2.14m, 1st)

15. 16. (NR) Brede Ellingsen (Arkansas, So.) Brede has only jumped in 2 meets so far this outdoor season.  Jumping solid in both meets.  Outdoor Meets (2.14m, 1st, 2.16m, 6th Penn relays) Indoor Meets (2.00m, 7th, 2.11m, 6th SEC Champs)

17. (NR) Marcus Jackson (Mississippi, Fr.)  Marucs jumped 2.16m (7-1) to win the Eastern Division of the Penn Relays a couple of weeks back.  Outdoor Meets (2.15m, 1st, 2.08m, 5th, 2.05m, 2nd, 2.15m, 6th, 2.11m, 1st, 2.13m, 2nd, 2.16m, 1st) 

18. (NR) Bryan McBride (Arizona State, Fr.)  Bryan last jumped 2.11m (6-11) to place 3rd at a double duel meet with the Arizona schools.  He has a seasons best jump of 2.16m (7-1).  Outdoor Meets (2.10m, 2nd, 2.15m, 1st, 2.15m, 1st, 2.16m, 1st, 2.11m, 3rd)

19. (NR) Jon Hill (Maryland, So.)  Last time Jon jumped he jumped 2.12m (6-11.5) at the Penn Relays (College Division) to win.  Outdoor Meets (2.13m, 2nd, 2.15m, 4th, 2.07m, 4th ACC's, 2.12m, 1st) Indoor Meets (2.14m, 1st, 2.14m, 2nd, 2.15m, 2nd, ACC's) 

20. (20) Tanner Anderson (Duke, Fr.)  Last weekend Tanner jumped 2.15m (7-0.5) to win the Duke Twilight Meet.  Outdoor Meets (2.12m, 4th, 1.99m, 9th, 2.07m, 3rd ACC's, 2.08m, 10th, 2.15m, 1st)  Indoor Meets (2.14m, 2nd, 2.17m, 1st, 2.15m, 1st, 2.10m, 5th ACC Champs, 2.20m, 1st, NH NCAA Champs)
