NCAA Indoor Predictions

It takes 2.22m (7-3.25) to make the NCAA Champs.  This is the highest it has been in a long time to qualify for the NCAA Champs below are predictions and all the 17 qualifers.

The NCAA Champs will be interesting this year.  Erik is the heavy favorite and Ricky is a clear 2nd place but after that who knows whats going to happen.  There are 13 jumpers that have season best jumps between 2.22m (7-3.25) and 2.24m (7-4.25) so its a matter of who is going to be on that day!  Should be fun!  Goodluck to everyone

1.  Erik Kynard (Kansas State, Jr.) This young man is the clear favorite.  He is undefeated and has the highest jump in the nation this year of 2.31m (7-7).  If he were to lose it would be a major upset.
2. Ricky Robertson (Ole Miss, Jr.)  Ricky jumped 2.25m (7-4.5) to win the SEC Champs.  He has been fairly consistent and has shown to jump his best when it counts.
3.  Nick Ross (Arizona, Jr.) Here is where it starts to get tricky.  There are so many jumpers that are all stacked up close together but Nick has shown through consitency why he is predicted to be the #3 finisher.  He has a season best jump of 2.24m (7-4.25)
4.  Dwight Barbiasz (Florida, Sr.) Dwight has been consistent and has a history of jumping well at the major meets.  His season best is 2.23m (7-3.25).
5.  Bryan McBride (Arizona State, So.) Bryan has really come into form this year.  He has a season best jump of 2.26m (7-5) the #3 jump in the nation.  He has no history of jumping well at the NCAA Champs but this seems to be his year to do so.
6.  Geoff Davis (Purdue, Jr.) Geoff needed a last chance meet to get in but is showing his best jumping of the year at the right time.
7.  James Harris (Mississippi State, So.) James has jumped well this year.  He has the 2nd highest jump in the NCAA, 2.27m (7-5.25), but no heighted a couple a weeks ago at the USA Champs.  Can he get it together for the NCAA meet this weekend in Boise?
8.  Edgar Rivera Morales (Arizona, Jr.) Edgar has been consistent this year and has a season best jump of 2.24m (7-4.25).
9.  Kris Kornegay Gober (NC State, Jr.) Kris jumped very well at the ACC Champs to win and set a meet record.  He has a season best of 2.23m (7-3.25).
10.  Maalik Reynolds (Penn, So.) Maalik has had a great season so far and looks to make some noise at the NCAA meet.  He has a season best jump of 2.23m (7-3.75).
11.  Darius King (Indiana, So.) Darius was the surprise winner of the Big Ten Champs and is a rookie at the NCAA meet.  His season best is 2.22m (7-3.25).
12.  Montez Blair (Cornell, So.) Montez jumped his season best early in the year but has proved he can jump well recently.  This is his first time at the NCAA Champs.  His season best is 2.22m (7-3.25).
13.  Frankie Hammond (Florida, Jr.) Frankie is a talented jumper/football player that has big jump potential.  His season best is 2.22m (7-3.25) which he jumped at the SEC Champs to place 2nd.
14.  Ronnie Black (Virginia Tech, Jr.) Ronnie did not jump well at the ACC Champs but could bounce back.  His season best is 2.22m (7-3.25).
15.  Noah Kittleson (Arkansas, Fr.) This freshman jumper needed a last chance meet to qualify and will be jumping to prove why he belongs at the NCAA champs.
16.  Keith Benford (UTSA, Jr.) Keith is a great jumper and has shown some consistency but will need to have a great meet to get in the top 8.  His season best is 2.22m (7-3.25).
17.  Marcus Jackson (Mississippi State, So.) Marcus has a ton of potential but has not been consistent through the year.  His season best jump is 2.23m (7-3.75).
