Dudes, the season is over. It's time to put the toes in the sand and enjoy the sunset on the beach.

Nationals this weekend was amazing. That's really the only way to describe it.

The race at Portland Meadows was much like my description of the Illinois State Meet. Perhaps the performances of York and Naperville North (2nd and 3rd respectively) tipped emotions in that direction. 

Whatever it was, it was spectacular. Hopefully, all the kids will realize how special of an opportunity they were a part of this weekend was. Getting to compete in a national championship whether it be NCAA or NXN or whatever is something that only a small percentage of the xc population get to do.
