Without looking at all of the rosters this is my pre-season top 10 1. Stanford - Best top 3 in DI - Korolev and the Rosa twins have a deep roster behind them. Easily the best top 3 returning. Under the experienced and succesful leadership of Coach Miltenberg. 2. Colorado - Tough team group. You can never count them out and Coach Wetmore is a great motivator and coach. 3. Oklahoma State - Coach Smith always has high expectations for his group. Geberkidane will fit in well. 4. Oregon - Low stick in Cheserek, Erik Jenkins is a top-10 guy. Talented depth and the motivation should carry over from track. Addition of Gregorek will help strengthen experienced top 4 5. Indiana - Two of top 4 are sophomores to lead a developing team that finished eighth last year 6. Iona - Always in there by the end of the season. They peak well. 7. Northern Arizona - Can't count out Coach Eric Heins and his group. 8. Arkansas - Kebenei leads young group. 9. Providence - Entire team back and experience will help. 10. Texas or Michigan - both have good #1s and are well coached. A team to be watched - Boise State picked up 7 international athletes with experience. Under the tutelage of one of the top distance coaches in Cory Ihmels this team could trophy. They lost 4 of top 5 that finished fourth at the west region behind 3 teams that finished in the top 7 at the NCAA meet. |
